0 credits · 0 hours

This course will explore census records: what they are, why they are created, how they can be used for genealogy and how to search for them most effectively on both Ancestry.com and FamilySearch.org. The focus will be on the U.S. Census but other country census records will be briefly discussed. Your instructor will be Sarah Kirby, professional genealogist and librarian. Prerequisite: Students should have basic computer knowledge of how to create documents and do basic internet searches. There may be a slight fee ($5 or less) for the handout booklet.
