CADV10 — Interp Rdng Story Lovers Gr6-8
Why not share what you love to read? Develop your ability to analyze a literary work -- short story, poem, speech, or letter -- for meaning and then prepare an oral interpretation of the text for performance. Learn methods for analyzing character, identifying character traits and motivations and understanding the theme and moral of a story. Practice speaking distinctly and using storytelling techniques to help make your vocal performance more interesting. Preparation is similar to that used for radio drama and voice acting. Enjoy historical works, both well-known and lesser-known, as well as the opportunity to participate in a public recital of the works you have mastered. Reader's theater is a great way for anyone of any age to begin sharpening their public speaking skills and even start down the path to narrating audiobooks. Homeschooling students and parents are welcomed.
