SURG 120 — SURGICAL PROCEDURES I
This course introduces the student to surgical procedures. Specialty areas include: gastrointestinal (general), liver and biliary tract, hernia repair, obstetrics and gynecological (OBGYN) and Orthopedics. Additional areas covered are anatomy, diagnostic testing, patient positioning, instrumentation, and equipment and supplies, which are all vital to the actual sequence of procedures. 5 credits
