RN 230 — PHARMACOLOGY FOR THE REGISTERED NURSE
This course expands the nursing student’s knowledge on the concepts of pharmacology and medication administration, with an emphasis on clinical applications within the context of the nursing process. Major drug classifications, including indications, modes of actions, effects, contraindications, and drug interactions will also be covered. Pharmacology concepts are integrated throughout the course relevant to cultural, ethical, population considerations, medication safety, and dosage calculations. 2.5 credits
