PTA 125 — PHYSICAL AGENTS AND MASSAGE
Course will include lecture and laboratory instruction on the theory and techniques of applying physical therapy modalities including therapeutic heat and cold, ultrasound, hydrotherapy, phototherapy, massage, intermittent compression pump, and traction. Students will also be exposed to proper positioning and draping techniques for treatment to various body regions. Students will also cover universal precautions, sterile techniques, wound care, burn care, dressings, and bandaging of burns and wounds. 4 credits
