OTA 145 — OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY APPLICATION III
PSYCHOSOCIAL PRACTICE In this course, students cover Occupational Therapy history and theories of mental health practice as well as the use of many health care theories and occupational therapy frames of reference used in treatment of occupational performance deficits in individuals who have been diagnosed with mental health impairments. Students will also discuss intervention strategies and outcomes for clients, groups and populations who demonstrate decreased occupational functioning due to qualifying for diagnoses found in the DSM. 3 credits
