MLT 226 — PRACTICUM I: GENERAL LAB PRACTICE
PHLEBOTOMY, HEMATOLOGY, CHEMISTRY, URINALYSIS (9 WEEKS) The student will spend nine (9) weeks in a hospital or clinic lab and is the final step for the student in becoming a medical lab technician. They will perform general lab operations, draw and process specimens, perform QC and maintain equipment, analyze and report patient results in the areas of hematology, chemistry and urinalysis. Students will correlate the theory of each test with the lab data. 6 credits
