MLT 205 — APPLIED PHLEBOTOMY
Phlebotomy is a required skill in the medical lab. The medical lab technician will be required to draw blood in most facilities they may be employed in. Students will perform venipuncture and capillary sticks and which will allow them to hone their skills by completing 30 hours of phlebotomy on patients in a clinical lab setting. Practicing these skills will allow them to gain confidence in their technique and relate to the patients they d raw. 1 credit
