LE 205 — LAW ENFORCEMENT SURVIVAL
This course is designed to familiarize students in the escalation of force model and in basic offender confrontation concepts. Students will be introduced to tactical techniques to include professional communication skills and will gain an under- standing of how to deal with physical situations and the ability to respond with swift and efficient solutions whether physical or verbal. Students will also be required to demonstrate arrest, handcuff, control techniques, and how to conduct a safe and thorough search incident to arrest of compliant and non- comp liant suspects. Techniques covered will include the proper use of handcuffs, police baton, and oleoresin capsicum (OC) spray. 3 credits
