CIS 115 — IT ESSENTIALS
This course prepares students for the CompTIA A+ certification exam. The student will be introduced to the fundamentals of PC hardware and software technologies with a hands-on approach. In the labs, students will learn how to disassemble, reassemble, and install PC hardware components, how to properly format and install a typical operat ing system, and how to connect the PC to a network and the Internet. Students will be expected to take the two certification exams for the CompTIA A+ certification. 3 credits
