The Human Services program has been recognized as outstand - ing by the Los Angeles Community College District and by the Cali - fornia Community College Association for Occupational Education. The LACC Human Services certificate and degree programs pre - pare students for careers in counseling a variety of clients, includ - ing children, seniors, victims of violence, parolees, the mentally ill, and substance abusers. A career in human services is a career of making a difference for others while discovering more about your - self. Human services professionals help people turn their lives around and find new directions.
