MIT 220 — INTRODUCTION TO ROBOTICS

3.00 Units (Lec 2 Hrs / Lab 2 Hrs) Transfer Credit: CSU This is an introductory course in robotics emphasizing hands-on experience to construct and program a basic functional robot. Students learn to implement electric motors, servos, sensors, switches, and actuators in a programmable robot. The course also includes mechanical assembly, connecting electronic components, wiring, soldering, basic programming, and testing. Students also learn to apply a methodical design process including documenta - tion and presentation. MUSIC (MUSIC) MUSIC 101 - FUNDAMENTALS OF MUSIC 3.00 Units (Lec 3 Hrs) Transfer Credit: CSU, UC, C-ID (MUS 110) (For the non-Music major.) A study of the fundamentals of music including notation, meter signatures and rhythms, major and minor scales and key signatures, intervals, triads, terms, and symbols. Some sight reading and ear training is included. MUSIC 111 - MUSIC APPRECIATION 3.00 Units (Lec 3 Hrs) Transfer Credit: CSU, UC(CalGETC Area 3A), C-ID (MUS 100) The student learns about masterpieces of Western music from the Middle Ages to the present day with an emphasis on perceptive lis - tening. Topics include the elements of music, musical forms, music periods, styles, and the role of music and musicians in the West - ern world.
