1.00 Units (Lab 2 Hrs) Transfer Credit: CSU, UC Students participate in a variety of vigorous exercises for increas - ing cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength, and flexibility. Vari - ous modes of aerobic exercises are emphasized in support of the cross-training concept. Resistance training using fixed weight of moderate to high intensity is used to develop muscular strength in all major muscle groups. Flexibility training is also emphasized to enhance skeletal range of motion. Information on exercise meth - ods and principles, the physiology of the human body, fitness eval - uation methodologies, and nutrition education.
