NSG 111 - Health & Illness Concepts I (didactic) NSG 111 - Health & Illness Concepts I (didactic) 8.00 credits This course introduces the nursing student to the concepts of health and illness across the lifespan: perioperative, infection, fluid and electrolytes, acid/base balance, oxygenation, perfusion, elimination, metabolism, sensory/perception, mobility, cellular regulation, and cognition. Principles of evidence based nursing practice will include the identification of clinical practice problems, the evaluation of available evidence, and the integration of evidence with clinical expertise and patient preferences.
