ART 154 - Ceramics I ART 154 - Ceramics I 3.00 credits Introduces beginning ceramic processes, techniques, and concepts while examining ceramic work in historical and cultural contexts. Develop a beginning level of creative problem solving and kinetic skills with clay forming by pinch, coil, and slab methods, as well as finishing techniques and surface treatments. Includes critiques, discussions, and presentations to establish critical skills necessary to evaluate ceramics works, explore artistic intent, examine aesthetic and structural solutions, and expand perceptual awareness.
