UCS 101 — Underground Utility Construction

Introduces students to Underground Utility Construction. Prepares students for practical excavation and restoration; horizontal directional drilling (HDD); relevant equipment operation; conduit/duct bank installation; manhole/hand hole installation; and backfill, compaction, and finish grading operations. Lecture: 1 credit (15 contact hours). Laboratory: 2 credits (60 contact hours).
