Introduces the history of the safety movement under the standards of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control, and prevention. Covers selected topics and standards, for construction safety under OSHA. Note: OSHA 30 for Construction certificate may be available upon successful completion of all required course topics (must be within six months of completing SFA 1151 and coordinated with instructor). Pre or Corequisite(s): SFA 1151 . Lecture: 1.33 credits (20 contact hours).
