EET 118 — Residential Network Wiring

Provides students with the knowledge to design and install multimedia applications for residential structures; gain an understanding of industry-standards practices, codes, and ordinances that pertain to high-performance in-home systems. Introduces students to voice, data, security, video, audio, automation, control and entertainment systems, cable performance characteristics, and appropriate cabling media, connectors, blocks, jacks, panel, pathways and spaces. Lecture: 3 credits (45 contact hours).
