BUSN 0206 - Business Law II BUSN 0206 - Business Law II 3 Credit Hours This course is a continuation of Business Law I and focuses on key legal concepts related to business operations. Topics include sales contracts, secured transactions, business entities, corporate law, and administrative law. Students will learn to identify legal risks in business contexts and understand when to seek legal counsel. The course emphasizes the application of Article 2 of the Uniform Commercial Code to contracts, with introductions to product liability, estates and trusts, and insurance law. Additional areas of study include secured transactions, bankruptcy, and commercial paper, as well as the formation, management, and dissolution of various business structures. Topics such as professional responsibility, shareholder rights, consumer protection, administrative law, employment law, and environmental law are also covered Effective Spring 2005, if you are a Business major, you must have a “C” or better in all business courses to meet the requirements of the business degree program.
