DDT 1173 - Mechanical Design I DDT 1173 - Mechanical Design I Career and Technical Education Class Hours: 1 hour lecture and 4 hours lab. Semester Students will utilize techniques of modeling to create machine specific drawings. The course emphasizes methods, techniques, and procedures (in presenting screws, bolts, rivets, springs, thread types symbols for welding, materials, finish and heat treatment notation, working order preparation, routing, and other industry procedures) used in mechanical design.
