HORT 283 - Floral Design II HORT 283 - Floral Design II Lecture: 3 Lab: 2 This course is designed to give students the necessary skills to create a variety of advanced floral pieces. Emphasis will be placed on both sympathy and wedding floral pieces. Students will create a variety of bridal bouquets using armatures, bouquet holders and hand-wiring. Students will receive practical experience creating flowers for two real weddings. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to conduct a bridal consultation and create recipes for the floral pieces, and create a wholesale supply list. Students will create a variety of sympathy arrangements such as casket saddles, end sprays and fireside baskets. Identification of approximately 75 different wedding and sympathy cut flowers and foliages will be discussed. Prerequisites HORT 280 or consent of department Is course repeatable for credit?
