A limit of four (4) hours from activities in art, physical education, music, band, choir and theater production may be applied toward graduation. 9. Students who completed technical courses more than four years in the past may find the information and skills from such courses to be obsolete. In order for technical program graduates to possess current knowledge and skills applicable to the job market, students are required to repeat any technical course for certificate/degree completion which was completed more than four years prior to the current term. Exceptions to this standard can be requested by the student to the appropriate instructional department chair. Approval of exceptions can only be granted by the respective department chair based on documented evidence provided by the student. The department chair shall formally notify the Registrar of approved exceptions. 10.
