ABE 003 — Math Beginning Skills

Prerequisite: Math NRS level 1 or 2 ABE Math Beginning Skills will include instruction from Illinois ABE Mathematics Content Standards NRS levels 1 and 2. The curriculum is designed to assist students learn number fluency and basic math skills necessary to be successful in Intermediate ABE level math. This is a beginning course in a series of math courses designed to help students prepare for high school equivalency and the GED examination. Class sessions will include whole group activities using math manipulative's, real-world math scenar- ios, and technology. Classes will also provide whole group direct instruction, individual instruction, and individual practice.
