Associate of Science: Mechanical Engineering
The Mechanical Engineering Pathway at Jackson State Community College is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in mathematics and science, preparing them to pursue further education and a career as a mechanical engineer. Students also complete courses in other essential areas, such as communications and computer science, with additional elective courses available. Emphasis is placed on applying knowledge and problem-solving in practical situations. The Associate of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering allows students to complete the first two years of study in a community college setting while preparing to transfer into a four-year engineering program.
