Nutrient sources, digestion, absorption, storage, metabolism, deficiency and toxicity states are emphasized. Energy balance, caloric requirements, weight, physical activity, developmental and life cycle needs are studied. Consumer concerns regarding food and water safety and supply are also explored. Honors
