This career includes compiling, processing, and maintaining medical records of hospi - tals and clinics in a manner consistent with medical, administrative, ethical, legal and regulatory requirements of the health care system. After completion of this certificate program students are eligible to take the Certified Professional Coder (CPC) examination given by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).
