This course will provide the student with basic and current concepts of local anesthesia and pain control for the safe and effective administration of local anesthesia and nitrous oxide/oxygen sedation. Instruction iin local anesthetic technique adn an introudcution to the use of nitrous oxide as an analgesia is included. Successful completion of this course confers eligibility to take the CDCA exams for Local Anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide/OXygen sedation with Program Director Approval.

Prerequisites: DHY-101, DHY-102, DHY-103, DHY-105, DHY-113
