DHY103 — Head, Neck & Oral Histology
This course is designed for first semster dental hygiene students. The topics include anatomy of the teeth and dental nomenclature, the development, eruption, and morphological characteristics of the human deciduous and secondary dentition, and a review of the bones and muscles of the orofacial complex. The examination of the temporomandibular joint and function, and dental occlusion classification will complete this course.
