CCE117 — Phlebotomy Technician
This 90-hour course will prepare participants for performing phlebotomy procedures in a variety of healthcare settings and to be prepared to sit for the NHA Certified Phlebotomy Technician Exam. Participants will learn about the roles and responsibilities of the phlebotomist, which will include infection control procedures, legal and ethics issues, working with special populations and situations, and proper specimen collection and handling procedures. The focus will be on performing venipuncture and capillary procedures properly to btain specimens for vaious laboratory testing. Upon successful course completion of 80% or better, participants will receive a Corporate and Continuing Education Certificate of Completion. Participants must also register for and complete the CCE Assessment coruse with technology literature placement at CIS 095 and reading/writing placement at ENG 085.
