Designed to complement classroom learning, this learning experience offers students the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world veterinary settings. Through a structured and immersive experience, students will enhance their clinical competencies, develop teamwork and communication skills, and gain insight into the day-to-day responsibilities of a veterinary assistant. This externship serves as a valuable bridge between academic study and professional practice, preparing aspiring veterinary assistants for a successful and fulfilling career in the veterinary healthcare industry. This particular externship will focus on observation and reflection of roles, procedures, and practices in a veterinary practice. Students will document their observations and gain deeper understanding through weekly reflection papers and class discussions over a specific topic each week. MAJOR COURSE LEARNING
