SOCI 130 - Sociology of Work and Occupation SOCI 130 - Sociology of Work and Occupation It will examine theoretical approaches to work and occupation, and engage with empirical research about work and occupation. In this course, students will examine the nature of work and interactions at work, including power and social inequality along the dimensions of gender, race and ethnicity. Students will understand organizational structure and culture, segmented labor markets, types of jobs, and be able to apply this understanding to the modern workplace. MAJOR COURSE LEARNING
