PTAS 107 - Kinesiology PTAS 107 - Kinesiology By definition, kinesiology is the study of movement. Studies human movement and brings together the fields of anatomy, physiology, physics, and geometry. Class will consist of lectures, demonstrations, and student participation in locating, observing, and palpating bony prominences and muscles. Much of kinesiology requires independent study to memorize origin, insertion, action, and innervation of muscles. The knowledge gained in this course is an integral part of a student’s preparation for the practice of physical therapy as a physical therapist assistant. MAJOR COURSE LEARNING
