MORT 211 - Funeral Directing I MORT 211 - Funeral Directing I Specific attention will be paid to the communication techniques and skills that will assist individual family members with handling bereavement, grief and the mourning process. In addition, students will explore: notification of death, transfer of remains, and funeral service options. Emphasis is placed on proper identification procedures, care and preparation of the deceased, shipping of human remains and other best practices concerning funeral service. MAJOR COURSE LEARNING
