DMSI 206 - General Sonography Clinical IV DMSI 206 - General Sonography Clinical IV Through structured, sequential, competency-based assignments in the clinical setting, concepts of teamwork and patient care centered clinical practice and professional development will be examined and evaluated. Clinical practices are designed to provide the student with patient care and general sonographic exam experiences. The student should grow on the techniques already learned and begin learning more advanced examinations. Care, scanning skills and proper ergonomic techniques learned in the lab will be practiced in the patient care setting. This is the final clinical course for the sonography student, and the students will be expected to have accomplished all required competencies for graduation, as well as all required clinical hours. The student is expected to not only have gained the clinical competencies required, but to also have the ability to demonstrate all basic sonographic exams and procedures. MAJOR COURSE LEARNING
