In this course, students examine issues related to dying and death. Students explore the values, beliefs, norms, and behaviors in different cultures. Students delve into symbolic interaction and a social-psychological concept of self in relation to varied topics such as euthanasia, grief, communication during the dying status, suicide, culture, cryogenics, or other selected options.
