MEA 0800 — Medical Assisting Practicum (N)
In this course, students explore a general overview of the operation of a medical practice. Students participate in a physician’s office or clinic for a total of 190 hours to observe and under the supervision of a physician perform basic administrative, laboratory, and clinical duties. This is an unpaid practicum experience. Students are responsible for their own transportation. Students learn study techniques in preparation to test for the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) certification examination.
