HIM 1273 — Billing and Reimbursement Methods
In this course, students explore reimbursement issues for health care facilities. Students study diagnosis related groups (DRG’s), ambulatory related groups (APG’s), resources-based relative value scale (RBRVS), health maintenance organizations (HMO’s), and other major insurance/third party payers. Students explore and practice the various types of reimbursement methodologies .
