MUS400 — Music in Theory and Practice I
3.0 Credit(s) Lecture 3 Lab 0 Music in Theory and Practice I is grounded in the basic tonal functions of the common practice period. This course covers the basics of rhythm, pitch, and notational practices. Students study rhythmic figures in simple and compound meters, as well as scales, key signatures, and diatonic chords in major and minor keys. Note(s): This course is for Music majors only.
