BIO186 — Microbiology
4.0 Credit(s) Lecture 3 Lab 2 Microbiology is the study of microorganisms with special emphasis on the pathogens and the aspects of microbiology that directly affect humans. The course covers the fundamentals of microbiology, a survey of the microbial world, interactions between microbes and hosts, microorganisms and human disease, and environmental and applied microbiology. Laboratory work explores all aspects of microbiology, but emphasizes the culture, handling and identification of bacteria.
