AGS510 — Swine Confinement Systems

CAREER AND TECHNICAL CREDIT TYPE 2 credit(s) Different types of swine housing systems. Open-air and mechanically ventilated systems will be explored and evaluated for all stages of pig production. Different systems will be analyzed in class and on site. Environmental considerations such as space allotment, temperature control, ventilation and other aspects of pig comfort are studied.
