DEA584 — Dental Assisting Experience
Add to Pathway 7 Credits Total Clinical Hours: 305 Course Description: This course provides the dental assistant students with a supervised practicum in a dental office setting, performing the chairside assisting functions utilizing psychomotor and affective competencies relevant to the profession. Students will gain additional hands-on experiences perfecting competence in chairside functions in different general and specialties dental offices. A minimum of 300 hours must be obtained. This course will also students gain critical thinking skills which are essential to making important life, health, and career decisions.
