INFS 1000 - Information Literacy and Research Skills FYE INFS 1000 - Information Literacy and Research Skills FYE 2 Credits Provides students with the skills needed to navigate our “Information Society”. Topics include how information and knowledge are produced, how to develop effective research strategies for locating, using, and evaluating information from print and electronic sources, and issues related to intellectual freedom and copyright. Pairs well with English, Public Speaking, or any research-based course. Best if taken within the first 24 college-level course credits, as research skills and critical analyses of information sources are integral to academic success. One of these two: EAP 0099, ENG 0099 (Minimum grade: 1.67 GPA Equivalent) And 2.
