1.0 HR. (OC) This course is designed to introduce students to the medical imaging profession and the role of the radiologic technologist, sonographer, and other medical imaging professionals. Basic responsibilities of a medical imaging professional, such as patient interaction and procedures, infection control practices, safe patient transfers, and general image evaluation and positioning skills will be demonstrated and practiced. Essential skills and performance indicators desired in the workplace will also be presented with the opportunity to demonstrate competency in each. One lecture hour per week.
