3.0 HR. (TC) Prerequisite: Approved reading placement score, or equivalent. This course is a survey of Non-Western music and cultures including ethnic origins of folk and traditional music in the United States and music representing minoritized people groups. It examines representative pieces and places them within their sociological context. Three lecture hours per week. (F1 903N)
