MECTK150 — Mechanical Systems I
2.0 HR. (OC) Prerequisite: MECTK 149 with a grade of C or better. This course is the second of a three-course sequence. Mechanical Systems I provides the student with basic knowledge and hands-on experience of mechanical systems used by industry. Students will become proficient in mechanical areas including: component and shaft alignment, bearings, v-belt and chain drives, couplings, and spur gears. Students will also be instructed in the proper and safe use of tools. The other two courses in this sequence are MECTK 149 and MECTK 151. One lecture and three laboratory hours per week.
