IPP260 — Interpreting Internship
3.0 HR. (OC) Prerequisite: IPP 210, 216, 220, and 230 all with a grade of C or better or department approval. This course focuses on student immersion in real-world interpreting and exploration of career potential. The Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) Code of Professional Conduct will be applied to all aspects of internship experiences. Students will assess their work to improve professionalism and interpreting performance. They will demonstrate a commitment to career-long learning by creating a professional portfolio. One lecture and ten laboratory hours per week.
