IPP118 — ASL: Fingerspell & Number I

2.0 HR. (OC) Prerequisite: IPP 110, 115, and 120 all with a grade of C or better, or department approval. This skills-based course reinforces students' abilities to use the American manual alphabet (fingerspelling). Concentration is on receptive and expressive skills, involved in the production of the American manual alphabet, lexicalized signs, and numbers. Extensive drills and practice, with an emphasis on real-world situations, are incorporated. One lecture and two laboratory hours per week.
