This course is an interdisciplinary study of literature, philosophy, the visual arts, and music in Western civilization between the early modern and the contemporary periods: the seventeenth, eighteenth, and nineteenth centuries. It is designed to show the inter-relationships of the arts and to give students a broad cultural background. Three lecture hours per week. (HF 903)
