ENGR113 — Engineering Design

4.0 HR. (TC) Prerequisite: MATH 120, or higher, with a grade of C or better, or department approval. This is a course in engineering design and tools to support the design process. The course includes a group design project, hand-sketching and computer-aided design, modeling, and drawing techniques. Topics include: engineering design process, lettering/text, scaling, multiview first and third angle orthographic projections, pictorial presentation, descriptive geometry with auxiliary views, sections, dimensioning, tolerancing, fasteners, assemblies and production drawings. Three lecture and three laboratory hours per week. (EGR 941)
