ELCTK232 — Programmable Automation System

3.0 HR. (OC) Prerequisite: ELCTK 215 with a grade of C or better or department approval. This course introduces the student to the methods and equipment used to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electronic systems. Topics include the effective use of test equipment, various approaches to troubleshooting electronic systems, and the proper adjustment and calibration of such systems. Emphasis is on solid state drive, control, and instrumentation systems. Safe work habits are emphasized throughout the course. One lecture hour and six laboratory hours per week.
